Studio

The LS-Live Studios are home to the Backstage Academy. It is Europe’s only purpose built stage production rehearsal facility and one of Europe’s largest film & TV Studios. Many of the biggest names in entertainment have visited the Live Studios – from Cirque du Soleil, Kylie, Robbie Williams, Genesis, Scissor Sisters and Leona Lewis to name a few.
The Live Studio offers a massive 16.5m grid height, safe gantry access with a roof load of over 100 tonnes, 1200A 3 phase power supply and 4 x 6.5m access doors.

Apple Suite

The Backstage Academy is an Apple Authorised Training Centre –providing a range of courses on Final Cut Studio, OS-X and hardware networking, together with courses on WYSIWYG, Vivien, Avid Pro Tools 9 and training on the Avid Venue live digital sound system. This facility offers a fully air conditioned suite of 10 Apple MacBook Pro laptops, printing up to A0 and onsite overnight accommodation.

Backstage Studio

A dedicated demonstration and seminar space, 8m x 6m and seating up to 20 people. Working with a range of industry partners the Backstage Academy will provide seminars based around the use of equipment – from digital audio through to lighting consoles and video hardware. These seminars will be archived on HD video, providing a useful resource for students and professional users alike.

14 Ensuite Bedrooms

14 En-suite bedrooms with electric Velux windows and blinds, single bed, wardrobe, set of draws, desk and chair, air conditioning, Wi- Fi, TV and DVD.
