As Backstage Academy grows, so does the demand for good quality student accommodation providers in Wakefield. We have been working hard creating our new Landlord and Tenant Charter for 2018/19 academic year, and encouraging more local estate agents to provide accommodation for our students going forward. All Backstage Academy approved estate agents and landlords have agreed to sign the charter, so this is great news for our students.

Student accommodation is available at the newly completed Waterfront House across from the Hepworth Gallery in central Wakefield. The accommodation includes 50 rooms, communal kitchens, parking, free Wi-Fi and a free bus to Westgate train station (3 stops/15 mins). Most of our students have found that living in central Wakefield is the best option. With just a short train ride to Moorthorpe station, which is a 5 minute walk from Production Park, you will have a more happening base with lots of shops, bars and things to do. Leeds is the next big city, only 15 mins away on the train from Wakefield, it’s full of bars and restaurants!
