Global demand for backstage training at Prolight Sound

We made our first trip to a European exhibition last week for the Prolight Sound show in Frankfurt

We made our first trip to a European exhibition last week for the Prolight Sound show in Frankfurt, which showcases entertainment technology from across the world.

We were the only training institution to exhibit at the show and we took enquiries from many different countries regarding short course training.

In the first two days of the show we took enquiries for training from professionals from Taiwan, South Africa, Japan, Russia, Kenya, Switzerland, Germany and the UK.

Most people, especially from outside of Europe, reported a real need for practical and theoretical backstage training in their countries, with little or no current provision.

Places like South Africa are home to an increasing number of large-scale events, but the growth of the industry is not equally supported by a growth in quality education.

We plan to take our rigging training and other short courses to a number of production companies overseas, and are currently looking at the potential to provide our Live Events Production Foundation Degree in certain countries.

We will continue to engage with industry professionals from our facility in the UK, to ensure we are responding to this demand in the best possible way.
