Visual Production Course Leader Shannon Harvey at ISE Amsterdam
Harvey has been teaching at Backstage Academy, based out of the Production Park facility in Wakefield, West Yorkshire since June last year, and has revolutionised the course, providing students with real-time industry experience and sharing his considerable expertise.
Working in his capacity as Principal Consultant at international firm Aspect Unlimited, Harvey consulted for Panasonic and d3 Technologies in creating a 13k high resolution, high accuracy photo calibration of 4 x 4K PT-RQ13K laser projectors on a 7m convex curved screen and a showcasing of d3’s new Quad-SDI VFC cards on their flagship 4x4pro.
ISE is the world’s biggest AV, system integration and communication exhibition, showcasing over 1,000 exhibitors and 60,000 registered attendees.
“The combination of the technology and being able to put all that together got a lot of interest from people. After hearing about what was there, we had people coming to Amsterdam specifically to take a look at it. These are some of the most exciting developments that have happened in the industry in quite a long time.”
