Working with Electricity
This course helps to promote safety and reduce major injuries and accidents when working with electricity. It covers how to comply with current legislation and well established safety procedures as well as looking at the safe connection of equipment to the mains. The course will run from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
This course takes you through the basics of electrical systems used in the live events industry.
Electrical Theory and Regulations
How electricity is produced and distributed, and the regulations that govern this. Using basic electrical formulas.
IP Ratings, Connectors and Cables
Understanding connectors and cables that are suitable for different uses, including use outdoors.
Temporary Electrical Systems
Key components and relevant procedures.
Distribution and Design
How to design and implement an electrical system used in live events.
Who should attend
Anyone who wants to work on an event that uses electricity and wants to understand how it works and how to work safely with it.
It is for people with little or no prior experience of working with electricity.
